After more research, we've come to the conclusion that this Scanfrost freezer comes with some flaws which cannot be ignored.

It doesn't cool fast and it does not retain coldness after a power outage. As usual we always try to keep our reviews up to date. 

So we cannot recommend this freezer at this point in time. Our opinion may change in future if we notice any improvements from the brand.

Have you ever been forced into panic warming? This is when you warm your perishable foodstuff like meat because of a power outage.

You can smell the meat about to go bad and the freezer that was supposed to protect the meat has lost it’s coldness. 

In fact a pool of bloody meat water has formed at the bottom.

Panic warming is saddening because

1.     It takes time to package foodstuff in a freezer—so all that work gets ruined.

                                              

2.    It disrupts careful planning—you will now have to use up stuff you were planning to store over a period of time.

After using the freezer for over a year or more, it may not freeze as quickly anymore.

A good practice is to change the compressor at this point. 

To be clear, it may gradually lose the ability to freeze quickly after a year or more but it would still freeze well and keep your foodstuff preserved for days.

Another way to ensure that it freezes fast, is to make sure you set the freezer to the right settings.

And make sure it's not too jam-packed with items. If items are placed too closely together, it would take longer to freeze said items.

So ensure that there's a little space between items. Items like meat freeze faster when cut to thinner slices.

Also if the freezer is almost empty or contains few items, it would take longer to freeze.

Lastly, to make your food items freeze as fast as possible, get the freezer to be as cold as possible before placing items in it.

The length is just about 3 ft and it is about 2 ft wide and it’s almost 3 ft tall.

If you still can’t picture it, just know that a mop stick is around 3 ft long. 

So this Scanfrost freezer can fit in your dining or hallway or kitchen if you have enough space in the kitchen.

It is perfect for singles and great for small families. Families with 2 or 3 kids and two parents.
