Haier 32 Inch LED TV Review

This is a detailed review of  Haier 32 inch HD LED TV LE32B9000T available in the USA, UAE and a host of other regions.

I found the display satisfactory to a point. It is an LED TV so I wasn’t expecting the mind-blowing cinematic abilities of a UHD TV set or OLED for example. 

You’ll have to pay a fortune to get such heavenly visuals.

Basically, the display lives up to my expectations with bright and vibrant image quality thanks to the awesome LED backlights.    

Although as expected also, it has a narrow viewing angle. 

But that’s something you probably won’t notice so it’s no big deal.

It’s just that the display tends to fade a little when you sit at angle closer to the edge of the screen.

Like I said, it’s really no big deal because you’re bound to get this sort of effect in any LCD screen because that’s how they’re designed. 

Another thing I noticed is that the refresh rate is just about 60hz per second which is pretty low if you ask me.

But that does not reduce the display quality during fast movie scenes like during action sequences for example. 

From my observation it even competes fairly with TV sets that boast of refresh rates as high as 240hz. 

So that’s a bonus.

The speakers aren’t mega loud. In fact the sound barely stretches farther than 50% volume.

So depending on your taste, that could be a turn on or a no no. 

If you have young kids, you probably want to avoid sets with ultra-high volumes anyway. 

Besides it’s got 3 HDMI ports so you can easily connect your home theater.

How Smart Is The Haier 32 HD LED TV?

This TV is USB compatible so you can view your saved photos, listen to music and watch video clips just by connecting your phone with a USB cord. 

But it doesn’t have Miracast.

So forget about viewing your email or apps wirelessly from your phone.

You also can’t visit Netflix or browse or whatever as this is not really a smart TV.

But one aspect that blew my mind was when I discovered that I could view digital stations with just an ordinary antenna. 

This TV actually has an inbuilt decoder. 

Although some of the channels are locked, you have to agree that’s a wonderful capability considering the low price.

Does it consume power like an electric dragon?

With a power consumption of about 0.005kwh, it won’t be running down your electric meter or wiping out your solar battery.  

Finally, I must add that when I first noticed how slim and light it was (it’s really light) I thought it wasn’t durable. 

But there was a thunderstorm about two months ago and I mistakenly left the windows open.

Surprisingly enough, although the TV got drenched from the rain, it still came on without any fault.  

And it has worked perfectly since then.

Is This TV a good fit for you?

The screen size measures up to 32 inches so it’s perfect for bedrooms, kitchens or small living rooms. 

It’s not ideal for viewing centers. 

As for power usage, it consumes less power than an incandescent electric bulb. 

It works well with USB and it can view digital stations with just an ordinary antenna.

So you decide.

Basically, it’s great for bachelors and singles in general. 

It would be a pleasant addition to the bedroom and fit nicely in a vending store or office.
