This home theater has a couple of appealing selling points which may be of interest to you.

They are:

  • It is actually solid. The speaker frames are made of metal. And when you inspect them, you can feel confident that the system would last.

  • The tower speakers are sleek and stylish. They would easily bring class to a room.

  • The home theater system has wonderful surround sound features that envelope you with realistic sound when you position the speakers the right way.

  • Good quality subwoofer that gives you that smooth extra bass. Seriously the bass is good.

  • Has great Karaoke feature if you’re into Karaoke. I don’t know.

  • Has aux port, HDMI  port and bluetooth features. So you can use it as your TV output, DVD output and even decoder output.

After inspecting this home theater, these are my findings.

Sound

The sound is smooth and retains sound clarity even when cranked to high volumes.

The distortion is so negligible that you will have to use the speakers at insane volumes to notice it.

With rich bass supported by a quality subwoofer, you don’t hear any grainy sound or noise that sounds like static from this Polystar home theater.

Bass is delivered to you the way it was produced by the sound producer without being unduly modified by the system.

The treble and rifts are also really great.

And since there is rarely ever frequency interference or ground loop, you can enjoy you music or movies without the presence of humming sounds.

Like the irritating 60 hz hums that bother some home theater systems.

The sound is pure quality.

Tip: If you’re not satisfied with the bass or you feel it’s not sounding properly then move your subwoofer to a corner of the room.

Make sure its faced away from the wall and preferably close to your sitting position.

Connectivity

It has all the connection options I like to see in a home theater. It has an aux port for connecting to your TV or laptop or DVD player.

It comes with it’s own DVD player but you may prefer to use your BLU-RAY player if you have one.

Then it has a HDMI port in case you want to use your decoder or game console.

There is also the Bluetooth feature that works very well with smartphones.

Like most of these current Bluetooth home theaters, it finds it difficult to produce sound when the Bluetooth is paired to a laptop or Bluetooth enabled TV.

So it’s better to use the aux port  instead of trying to use just the Bluetooth function for laptops or TVs.

Size

With tower speakers that are over 3 feet tall, this Polystar 5.1CH home theater is suitable for rooms even up to 25 ft.

It is not very suitable for outdoor activities or church services. It is best for indoor use.

They are meant to stand on the floor.

So if you want speakers that will fit in a book shelf then check out this DJ-L2 HIFi review.

Durability

I’ve pointed out that it is made of hard plastic and mostly metal. So it is a strong product.

The amplifier can handle prolonged use. It’s not like some home theater systems that have fading sound after 3 hours of use.

You can use the speakers for up to 5 hours at a stretch without any reduction in sound quality.

Power Consumption.

This Polystar PV-HT735T4 home theater model has a rating of about 120 w.

So it does consume some power. It is not very good with low voltage. And if the voltage is too low, it might give a sharp high frequency sound.

I would advise you to avoid using it on generators below 3 kva as it’s safer that way and enables it last more for you.

Price

You can view the current price. Just view offers on Jumia to see what various vendors are currently offering for this product.

So this Polystar home theater is of good quality and would not disappoint. Just be sure to use a surge protector and avoid stressing any of the speakers with blunt force.

In other words, don’t stone the speakers or fall them and expect it to work. It may survive one or two falls but it’s risky.

It is not as durable as a Nokia Torchlight.
But it sounds infinitely better than any Nokia Torchlight or smartphone or even Bluetooth players
For me, the sound is it’s major selling point.

So that’s all you need to know about this product.
