Hisense not only excels at making TV sets, they also make good chest freezers like this 100 L freezer.
This freezer cools very fast. It freezes food items within 1.5 hrs. It also retains coldness for at least two days after a blackout.
And it seems to be tropicalized because it works well with our Nigerian tropical climate.
The performance is still impressive even during heatwaves.
Size
The total capacity for this Hisense freezer is 100 L. This makes it suitable for small families and single individuals.
Power Rating
The power rating is just 75 w which is really low.
You can power this freezer with a small 2.5 kva generator and it works well with low voltage.
But I’ve noticed that it does not like voltage fluctuations which is why you should use it with a surge protector and a stabilizer.
Also suddenly switching it on and off is harmful to the freezer. If the power supply suddenly goes off, wait for a few minutes before switching it on again.

It weighs 42 kg. So you may need the help of others to move it.
It does not come with caster wheels so it’s not really portable.
Durability
It has a strong body that does not easily dent or rust. The interior is good too although you have to defrost the freezer once in a while.
The internal Led bulb usually lasts for 1- 2 years especially if you don’t frequently open the freezer.
And the compressor is made of copper, not aluminum so it is of good quality and tends to last.
The freezer also comes with a 1-year warranty. As soon as you purchase the freezer, make sure you register it on the Hisense website in order to be eligible for the warranty.
So this freezer tends to last at least 2 years on average before developing faults.
Lucky people can use it for up to 5 years without issues.
